A 3-stage paint correction is a comprehensive machine-polishing process designed to restore heavily marked paintwork and achieve maximum gloss and clarity.

  • Stage 1 – Heavy Cut: Removes or significantly reduces deeper swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, sanding marks and other paint defects using a heavy cutting compound and pad.
  • Stage 2 – Refinement: Uses a medium polish to remove haze and finer defects left from the cutting stage while improving clarity and depth.
  • Stage 3 – Final Polish: A fine finishing polish is used to maximise gloss, sharpness and reflection, leaving the paint with a smooth, high-quality finish.

A 3-stage correction is best suited to vehicles with heavily swirled or neglected paintwork. Results depend on paint depth, defect severity and what can be safely corrected without compromising the clear coat.
